The mission of BBWCC is to promote quality baskets and related products in large quantities to meet the needs of our varied customers in a timely manner and at affordable prices.
The Bolgatanga Basket Weavers Co-operative Club (BBWCC) started in 1995 as a non-formal institution mainly for the production of baskets in the Bolgatanga Municipality and beyond.

BBWCC operates in eight 8 target communities in the Bolgatanga Municipality namely: Yarigabiisi, Gambibgo, Yorogo, Nyariga, Yikine, Sumbrungu, Zaare and Tindonmolgo Kongo,Sirigu in navrongo and Kandiga also in Navrongo districts Currently, the numerical strength of BBWCC is 1,050 weavers. In northern Ghana, where BBWCC is located, basket weaving is predominantly done in the districts of Bolgatanga, where over 250,000 people live in 170 villages and is a typical craft skill associated with women in these communities.
